2000. I concentrated on a sense of space between the groups of shapes. As with the previous three Faust paintings, it reads from left to right. Aside from the green diagonals that introduce the painting on the left and finalize the painting on the right, the design is a repetition of three combinations–black linear shapes, gray linear shapes and as a relief, little wavy and leaf like green shapes. With eight more paintings to go I began the fifth which was going to be an oval. However I moved on to other things and didn’t return to the project.
